Billing is an optional feature. If your Owlat instance doesn't have billing enabled, you can skip this page.

How pricing works

Contact pricing (graduated)

Your monthly contact fee adjusts automatically based on your total active contacts:

ContactsMonthly Price
0 – 10,000€8
10,001 – 40,000€20
40,001 – 500,000€100
500,001+€50 + €0.0001 per contact

Graduated pricing means you always pay the rate for each tier of contacts. For example, an organization with 50,000 contacts pays €100/month — not a blend of all tiers.

Email pricing (metered)

Email sending is billed at €0.25 per 1,000 emails. Every email sent — whether through campaigns, automations, or the transactional API — is metered. Usage is reported to Stripe in near real-time batches.

There are no monthly email allowances or overage charges. You simply pay for what you send.

Viewing your usage

Open Settings > Billing to see:

  • Active contacts — your current contact count and the corresponding pricing tier
  • Emails sent — how many emails you've sent in the current billing period
  • Estimated cost — projected cost based on current usage
  • Billing cycle — when your current period started and when it renews

Usage tracking

Beyond the billing page, you can understand your sending patterns through:

  • Campaign reports — see how many emails each campaign sent
  • Automation monitoring — track email volume from automated workflows
  • Transactional logs — monitor API-triggered email volume

This helps you forecast costs and optimize your sending.

Managing your subscription

From the billing page you can:

  • View billing history — see past invoices and payment details
  • Update payment method — change your card or billing details through Stripe
  • View usage breakdown — see contacts and email charges separately

Since pricing adjusts automatically based on usage, there are no plans to upgrade or downgrade.

Account deletion

If you need to delete your account:

  1. Request deletion from Settings > Account or through the provided mechanism.
  2. A confirmation email is sent with a cancellation link.
  3. A 30-day grace period begins. During this time you can cancel the deletion by clicking the link in the confirmation email.
  4. After the grace period expires, a daily background job processes pending deletions and permanently removes your account and organization data.

Account deletion is irreversible after the grace period. Make sure to export any data you need before the 30-day window closes.
